Ever think when you're wearing boots that your feet may feel claustrophobic? Trapped? Pinched? Dark? Forgotten? Unlike sandals or slip-ons where they can come up for air quickly.

Yes! Long live flip-flops and open-toed shoes!! I hate, hate, hate, lothe entirely having to wear socks and shoes.
I would have to say that for toes- like people- it completely depends on the weather. I don't know about YOU but if it's stormin outside, I'd much rather be wrapped in a blanket and some really tough leather. If I were to state an argument on the subject I think the source problem for claustrophobic toes is winter.
