Trouble

So IF earlier today I said, "I didn't start taking aspirins until I was married," WHY should that get me in trouble?

It's JUST a statement of timing and actions. Nothing more, nothing less. Do you not believe?

hhmmm, seems innocent enough. If your wifey wife was pregnant then I'd say any comment is fair game for trouble.

I think it kind of depends on which word you emphasize and the context of the sentence. If you emphasize "I" you may be suggesting that Debbie ALWAYS took them and you just started as a culmination of your two lifestyles- which says something about unity. If you emphasize "aspirins" then you suggest that perhaps you used to take some less-effective drug for headaches, and your loving wife finally brought you to the LIGHT- which says something about love. BUT if you emphasize "married" that totally gives the connotation that marriage is the source of your headache, and since marriage is all about your spouse that says something about Debbie....I'm not sayin' it SHOULD get you in trouble. I'm just sayin.

so....DID you get in trouble?

Some times I'm in trouble, but ultimately things will work out...they always do :)
